This part is virtually identical to my original
LR32 End Stop. That listing has lots of information (including a video) about what the End Stop does and how it works.
The only difference between that End Stop and this End Stop is that this End Stop is designed to be tapped with a M6x1.00 thread to accept the standard Festool LR32 thumbscrew.
This End Stop ships with a pre-"drilled" 5mm hole that can be very easily tapped with a M6x1.00 tap. If you don't have a M6x1.00 tap, here's what I used. This setup worked perfectly for me.

Tap Handle
For what it's worth, the plastic is soft enough that you might not even need the tap handle. You might be able to get away with twisting the tap using an adjustable wrench or something like that.
For even more info on this and the other End Stop, check out
this thread on Festool Owners Group forum.
I haven't had this part long enough to test the longevity of the threads, given that they are plastic, but they do provide PLENTY of holding power. This makes me think they'll last quite a while without issue.
Thanks for looking.
