Product Description
I have updated this part to slightly reduce the boss on the air pressure regulator and added three small bosses to space the printed circuit board slightly away from the body.
This manifold is designed to accept five coils and actuators from common aluminium rectangular 12V air solenoids and consolidate them into one unit capable of independantly operating four torpedo tubes and one smoke generatoror, or similar configurations. It has a common 1/8"BSP port allowing air from a small compressor of up to 100 PSI to be controlled seperately to each of the five 1/8" BSP outlet ports. The common port also has another 1/8" BSP port to allow for a pressure switch to control the compressor and also a 3/8" 24 TPI UNF port to attach an EMPTY 16g, 24g or 38g CO2 cartridge as a small storage tank in order to get sufficient air volume to sequentially launch up to 16th scale model torpedoes from up to four launch tubes. This is made in smooth fine detail plastic as it needs a good quality seal in the solenoid area and versatile plastic doesn't work as the surface texture is not good enough.
There is only one scale to this 1:1. This material seals really well on the solenoids and loses virtually no air, See www.pt-boat.com for details on the control circuitry for this.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS WITH A FULL CO2 CARTRIDGE, THE PRESSURE CAN EXCEED 2000 PSI AND CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS!
