The Whispering Knights

The Whispering Knights burial dolmen stands downhill  from the King's Men Stone Circle. According to legend these stones are  some of the petrified Knights accompanying their leader who wished to become King of England, but when the ground rose to prevent him seeing Long Compton in the distance, he was turned to stone by the spell of a witch. The King Stone stands alone in a field across the road. His men were also petrified in the Stone Circle and await their final re-awakening.

We commissioned a detailed 3D drone survey and from it have created this model for your enjoyment, to help you remember the Rollright Stones at home. The entire site is a No Fly Drone location, therefore no-one aside from the Rollright Trust which owns the monuments and site is legally able to offer such products as no other drone surveys have been given permission.
