Bow Fairlead Bronze No Light 1/16th Elco 80'

This model is based on detailed Elco drawings for all 80' boats except PT's 486-545, 731-760, and 565-624. PT's 486-545 and 731-760 is the same except for a slightly thicker lip at the front of the fairlead opening. PT's 565-624 eliminated the light from the top and has a different shaped lug on top along with the thicker fairlead lip.

The light is not included, most photos of boats in the theater show that they were removed.

This bronze version is made for more rugged R/C use. To meet minimum printing requirements for bronze, the base (where it mounts to the deck and hull side (gun'l) guards) is thicker, the fairlead throat and life line hole at the back of the upper "fin" are slightly smaller, and the small light bracket mounting holes on the upper "fin" are slightly smaller. Outside surfaces are scale, if desired the deck and hull side guards can be notched to inset the fairlead slightly for a true scale appearance. Set the fairlead on top of the deck, position it, and mark the guards where they should be notched. After notching, set the guard in place and mark the deck at the aft edges of the fairlead and remove material from the deck to inset the fairlead. These are the true scale dimensions:
Life line hole: 3/4" diameter
Light bracket mounting holes: 17/64" (0.266") diameter
Thickness of aft edges of fairlead: 1/8"
