Trek Emonda Disc '21+ Wahoo KICKR '14-'16 Adapter

The Trek Emonda Disc Model Year 20211+ is not directly compatible with the Wahoo KICKR Gen 1 even with the KICKR 142x12 Thru Axle Adapter.  The Trek Emonda uses a coarse thread M12x1.75 thread that is narrower in diameter than the end cap provided by wahoo.  Additionally, the Trek Emonda does not have a clamping surface on the frame's drive side.  This item, in conjuction with the KICKR 142x12 Thru Axle Adapter, will allow you to use your bike with the Wahoo KICKR Gen 1 by creating a threaded end cap of the correct size and it provides a clamping surface for the quick release skewer.

Prerequisites:

• Trek Emonda Disc Model Year 2021+
• Wahoo KICKR  (2014-2016).  Check your version here.
• KICKR 142x12 Thru Axle Adapter

Installation:

1. Complete steps 1 through 3 of the KICKR 12x142mm Axle Adapter Kit Installation Instructions EXCEPT for the installation of the KICKR included skewer nut and skewer.  
2. Thread the provided adapter into the outside of the bike frame.
   • ​​Threads may be tight, use grease on the threads to aid instllation.
3. Install the skewer and use the normal knurled quick release nut to install the skewer.
4. Adjust and clamp the skewer as normal.
