CGR 102000-102399 GS Gondola Print Assembly HO

A highly detailed HO Scale kit for a Canadian National General Service Gondola.

250 cars were built by the Eastern Car Company in 1918 for the Canadian Government Railways, #102000- 102399, soon becoming the newly fomed Canadian National Railways' #126950- 127349. By 1950, all these cars were rebuilt with steel sides and ends.

The kit represents these cars as built, with a combined K brake cylinder/ reservoir/ triple valve and vertical handbrake.

The kit includes a 1/16" space under the inner floor, allowing the modeller to include a lead or steel weight which will bring the car up to the NMRA recommended weight- unlike the tremendously heavy Ulrich metal cars or the featherweight Detail Associates kits of the past .
