A wedge mount for the Ring Doorbell to angle it out 30 degress. My original doorbell was mounted perpendicular to my door. This creates a great angle to capture video of people ringing my doorbell.
It is designed to fit the original mounting bracket that comes with the Ring Doorbell. The sides are thick to allow the rubber on the original mounting bracket to seal properly. Using the Ring mounting bracket allows you to securely mount the Ring Doorbell while the frame mounting screws are hidden under the wedge.
The sides on the wedge mount are also thick enough to allow the use of the mounting screws that come with the Ring Doorbell. I printed at 20% infill and was able to screw directly into the wedge mount.
The shortside screws will protrude past the wedge mount. If you want to avoid adding holes into your door frame, use shorter screws. I used #4-1/2” sheet metal screws from Home Depot.
The inner brackets where designed to reuse my existing doorbell mounting holes. They were 53 mm apart. I’ve included the 123D Design file if you need to make adjustments to fit your mounting location.
