Solar Alignment Finder for Telescopes

Here is a simple solar alignment finder which can be attached to a telescope to help find the sun when doing solar viewing.  It has a hole at the front which the sun shines through, and when properly aligned shines in the middle of a piece of plastic which goes into the slot on the back.  I find that milk carton plastic can be easily used for this.

 

This should not be used to look directly at the sun!  Always use the proper filters for your eyes and telescope.
