LED Mounting Disc - Alternative Replacement Part
For use with the Polar Lights / Round 2 1:350 TOS Enterprise model kit.
Use two of these as alternatives to replace the kit-supplied parts. Near-exact measurements and shape to the original kit part. Diameter and thickness are just about perfectly sized. Even the the small indent for the outer dome location tab is modeled in. Fifteen 2mm holes allow for increased number of lights (5 constant-on and 10 random blinking are suggested) compared to the Polar Lights / Round 2 part (which allows for ten lights - 5 constant-on and 5 random blinking). You supply the electronics setup.
Experiment away! Use with LEDs, SMDs, fiber optics, Arduino boards, etc.. There are lots of possibilities!
NOTE: because of the 3D printing process, the holes may end up "tighter" than what was modeled. Use appropriately-sized mini drill bits or sanding tools to core away excess plastic as needed.
