Product Description
The Sony PS-F9 is a marvel of engineering, first sold by Sony in 1983. It’s a small, portable turntable which runs off regular AA batteries or an external power supply. It plays 7″ or 12″ records at 45 or 33.3 RPM and most impressively it will do so either laying down or standing up, due to its linear tracking, direct drive and record clamping system. Many PS-F9 on the market suffer from a common problem with the disk hold mechanism with warped, cracked or even split gears this set is a replacement for the OEM with some slight tweaks. PLEASE READ THE NEW GEARS NEED A SLIGHT MODIFICATION TO INTERNAL DIAMETER YOU NEED A DRILL BIT ONE CLOSEST TO THE SIZE OF THE CAPSTAN WHICH IS ROUGHLY 1.5MM THEN GENTLY BORE OUT A LARGER DIAMETER IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE ON A DRILL JUST HOLDING THE BIT WITH PLIERS AND ROTATING THE 3D RESIN PART ON THE SHAFT UNTIL IT SLIPS THROUGH IS ENOUGH.
