Product Description
This is a custom armboard I designed for my Thorens TD 165 turntable.
Sources for Sumiko Premier MMT armboards are scarce. The mounting distance to the spindle is designed to be 221.7mm. The tonearm pillar hole 3/4" diameter, for a 16mm pillar. The 3 collar mounting holes are sized per the MMT instructions at 5/32 and provide about 1-2 mm of fine adjustment if needed. Through bolting is required. The armboard looks awesome in matte black nylon, and has a honeycomb reinforced substructure.
My armboard is designed to be attached to the turntable suspension plate from below with (3) #6 x 3/8 in screws. This gives your Thorens a clean look from above. Additionally the tone arm collar doesn't overlap the armboard screws.
If you need a custom armboard I can build them for other tonearms.
