Product Description
The 40mm grenade is a military grenade caliber for grenade launchers in service with many armed forces. There are two main types in service: the 40x46mm which is a low-velocity round used in hand-held grenade launchers; and the high-velocity 40x53mm, used in mounted and crew-served weapons. The cartridges are not interchangeable. Both 40mm cartridges use the High-Low Propulsion System. The less powerful 40x46mm is used in hand-held weapons such as the M-79, M-203 and the multi-shot M-32 MGL. The more powerful 40x53mm is used in automatic grenade launchers mounted on tripods, vehicles or helicopters, such as the Mk-19 grenade launcher.
This kit contains all necessary parts for assembling TEN M-781 40x46mm grenade miniatures under 1/10 scale, to be used with scame scale figures and the 1/10 scale M-79 40mm grenade launchers or the 1/10 scale Colt M-16A1 & M-203 rifles. Any extra diorama accessories are not included and should be purchased separately.
