Product Description
The prototype for this Shell Clamshell gas station was built in Winston-Salem NC in the 1930s. I've read there were originally 8 stations of similar design in the WInston-Salem area. This is by no-means an exact-scale replica of this station, but I made it as close as I could based upon drawings in the January 1992 issue of Model Railroad Craftsmen.
I did my best to make this as inexpensive as possible, but it seems like once you get above a certain size it gets put into a different price category. It is a complex curve shape and as a result some of the curves may have facets to save on file size. This is easily smoothed by sanding with 500 grit sandpaper and a coat of primer.
