Herring_Load_10

A shaped ballast load for my N-gauge or 2mmFS, P22 GWR / BR Herring hopper. White strong and flexible, colour it grey or however you fancy, or splash out and get it in sandstone.
It has cutouts on the underside to clear the stays across the load space in the wagon, and another at one end for the vacuum cylinder coping. It will only fit in one way round. 
Works nicely in “white versatile plastic” and natural sandstone. With the plastic I found the transverse grooves underneath needed cleaning out (some loose stuff had been left in there, no big deal once I realised) for the load to sit down properly in the wagon. I might add some different mound shapes on the top for variety before I buy a trainload of them.
UPDATE 2021-05-03 made them a bit shorter and a bit narrower so they're not such a tight fit that they need filing to slip in and out safely. Making available on PA12 (grey) multijet fusion plastic as I bought a couple in the previous design and apart from the filing, they're great and have a nice natural grey ballasty colour and texture. Slightly cheaper than sandstone.
