Product Description
The Airspeed AS.10 Oxford was a twin-engine monoplane aircraft developed and manufactured by Airspeed. It saw widespread use for training British Commonwealth aircrews in navigation, radio-operating, bombing and gunnery roles throughout the Second World War. Performing its maiden flight on 19 June 1937, it was quickly put into production as part of a rapid expansion of the Royal Air Force (RAF) in anticipation of a large-scale conflict.
This is the first of my WWII series of aircraft. As I am away from home at the time of this publication, and will be so for awhile, I am limited in the resources I have to design new models. All of these will be sourced from Jane's Fighting WWII Aircraft, a large book of hundreds of aircraft from the various nations that fought in the war. Enjoy!
