Product Description
Dermicidin is an antimicrobial peptide that forms a microbe-killing pore when it binds to Zn. This is a rendering of the pore-forming structure: six alpha helx units held together by Zn. The peptides are shown as surface renderings with the Zn binding site shown as sticks and spheres. Zn ions are shown as yellow spheres and heteroatoms are shown in traditional heteroatom coloring (O is red, N is blue). This model was created using UCSF Chimera from PDB 2YMK.
