This model depicts the Taylyllyn Railways's carriage No.16, 'The Stanton' in 1976 - 1981 condition 3 open compartments and an Abergynolwyn facing integrated guards van. In real life, this carriage started life as a 3ft gauge bogie carriage with end balconies, bought from Boden’s Stone Ltd. The bogies were regauged to 2ft 3in and the body was replaced with 4 open compartments and a guard's 'cupboard' in 1957, later rebuilt as represented by this model.
This model does not include seating to allow access to the bogie retaining nuts. Although if necessary you can purchase the seating seperately from my store. Alternatively you can fabricate your own seating from plasticard.
A guide for assembling the bogies to the chassis is pictured above, each bogie contains a shallow pocket for modellers to fit their preferred coupling, although this has been primarily designed with Greenwich couplings in mind.
