1/200 IMAM Ro.57 (x2)

The Ro,57 was designed in 1939 for the Regia Aeronautica but did not enter production until 1943 by which time was effectively obsolete. This fighter was hampered by its very light armamement (2 x 12.7mm MG) and low powered engines ( 2 x 840 hp) which meant it would have struggled in its intended role as an interceptor against the USAF heavy bombers. The 50-60 aircraft that saw servvice were in the modified Ro.57bis ground attack configuration.

The spherical recess underneath the model is for mounting it on a 4.5mm BB.
