Product Description
This is a 00 scale model of the 1830s Liverpool & Manchester Railway locomotive Planet, a replica now existing at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry.  Upgraded with finer detail, this model originated as a jumbo-ised N Gauge engine, suitably altered to 00 tolerances and to fit proprietary parts so enabling simple construction.  The matching motorised tender is separately available.

Note: A separate more basic detail version is also available in Natural Versatile Plastic.

Necessary to Complete:
Driving wheels (21mm diameter including flanges; c.20mm without) on 3mm axle, eg Romford or Alan Gibson
Leading wheels (15mm diameter with flange; c.12.5mm without) on 2mm axle, for example Hornby wagon wheels R8098 https://www.hattons.co.uk/7287/Hornby_R8098_Metal_spoked_wheels_on_axles_10_axles_/StockDetail.aspx
