This is a product pairing to match the Roland Gk-Kit 3B 4-string pickup. It is a riser plate to lif the pickup to the appropriate height in the instance that you have a high bridge.
Please note, depending on material selection the holes may not perfectly match up between the pickup cover and the riser. I have a metal cover and plastic riser and they are slightly off due to slight bending of the metal as it printed. Easily fixed by redrilling holes into the riser.
General notes on the pickup cover continue below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
So you've got yourself a hexaphonic bass internal kit from Roland, but you are still enough of a traditionalist that you only have four strings.
It's likely you've noticed that using the regular 6-string pickup not only looks ridiculous but you run the risk of wrist-bumping the pickup where it sticks out too far, creating unwanted noise.
If you are familiar with the master forum for all things V-Guitar then you may have learned you can
trim your pickup down to four strings quite easily.
This little baby solves both problems. I printed a demo in plastic but went with steel for the real deal. It does require cutting your pickup down as outlined in Vguitar forums but that's not only simple but way less scary than actually drilling the cable hole into your bass!
For basses with a high bridge, you can also purchase a riser plate from my store (I'm using it on a Reverend Wattplower and it needs one so the pickup doesn't float too high).
If anyone wants a material other than those I listed let me know and I can make it available.
