15mm UVX-6A Anasazi (Miniguns)

An older Sikorsky design, the Anasazi predates Bell's Arapaho/Pueblo family by roughly a decade. The Anasazi was built with flexibility in mind, and can carry a fireteam of troops as well as a payload of missiles or guided rockets. This comes at a cost; the Anasazi is larger and more vulnerable in the gunship role than an Arapaho, and lacks troop-carrying capacity compared to the still-larger Cheyenne. Still, its versatility has made it popular among cash-strapped organizations.

The Anasazi was replaced in frontline air cavalry troops by a combination of Arapahos and Cheyenne, but remains in service in assault fanjet units. In the assault transport role, the type's narrow fuselage poses a problem, as egress is slowed by the cramped interior. This is typically circumvented by either removing some or all seats, and/or installing external 'plank' seats.
