T-47 Mic Body

This is a mic body designed to take a BTM T-47 dynamic capsule and a Switchcraft B3M XLR panel mount connector. The capsule presses into the front and the connector screws into the back. Solder the capsule wires between pins 2 and 3. If the phase seems to be 180 degrees out, desolder the wires and switch which wire goes to which pin.

The mic body is 1.412" (35.86mm) in diameter and 3.250" (82.55mm) in length. With the capsule and XLR plug installed the overall length is 3.45". It's a little chunky, but should still fit in most universal mic clips.

The goal with this mic body was to make a compact dynamic microphone that can be used to (semi) unobtrusively mic loud sources like engines and industrial equipment.
