Product Description
The de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter is a single-engined, high-wing, propeller-driven, short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada. It was conceived to be capable of performing the same roles as the earlier and highly successful Beaver, including as a bush plane, but is overall a larger aircraft. This is the turboprop variant, sporting the ever-reliable Pratt & Whitney PT6A-27.
This 1:200 scale mode was created on request. Developed from the Beaver, several elements of my scale model Beaver were incorporated into the design, including the wings and horizontal stabilizer. Being a much larger airframe, the majority of the rest of the plane was built from scratch, notably the nose section housing the engine. Enjoy!
