N Gauge Hudswell Clarke Diesel (for RTR chassis)

The Hudswell Clarke Diesel shunter design was built from the 1930s onwards and widely used in industry, in several different power levels and cab configurations.

This model (to 1:148 scale) fits the Tsugawa TU-DB-158 chassis - it's a simple push fit. The chassis can be bought directly from Japan, or several UK suppliers import them. Space is left in the body above the motor to allow weight to be added, which helps increase the traction and improve the electrical pickup. Holes are included to allow the modeller to add 0.3mm wire to represent the handrails. A few dimensions are mildly compromised to allow it to fit the chassis but overall it is very close to the smaller Hudswell types.
