For modelers who don't want a complete 1/8 (inch-and-a-half) scale brake set, this product contains just the brake reservoir.
This AB brake reservoir kit includes a brake cylinder formed in two halves. It features keyed components so that it cannot be assembled incorrectly.
This highly-accurate model is meant for outdoor and live steam modeling use. It is designed to be attached to models using pins provided by the modeler, utilizing the parts' realistic bolt holes-- finishing nails seem to work well for this process. All of the components' pipe ports are included pre-formed and are scaled to prototypical standards.
The recommended plastic for this reservoir is Versatile (formerly Strong and Flexible) nylon. The grainy finish compliments the durable nature of real railroad brake equipment.
