Product Description
This product represents in HO scale the Union combination depot substation that was found at Union, several miles north of Springfield in Logan county located along the Illinois Traction System or the Illinois Terminal Railroad. This structure provided a waiting area, freight handling, as well as the equipment to convert power to supply the overhead lines for the traction system. This model consists of four parts. Part 1 is the front bay wall, part 2 is the rear back wall, part 3 is the narrow end walls, and part 4 is the tower walls. I used the chimney from my Pana Tower project to complete it. I will construct the roof from HO scale spanish tile.
