This is the ball joint for use with the ankle upgrade part.
The reason this is separated out is to limit risk of breakage and the cost of replacement.
If this was built into the ankle, and the ball joint snapped, then the whole ankle would need to be replaced. This way, if there is a problem, only the ball joint needs to be replaced.
