Original cufflink inspired by the greco-roman religion and the apollonian cult.

Apollo is the god of the sun, unity and harmony, beauty and youth, intelligence and athletics, warfare and creativity, knoweldge and art. He is the main god of the indo-europeans, as no other god of the ancients has qualities that he does not possess. He is the master of all trades, the most perfect, the founder, killer of Phyton ("rot") born with a golden sword, divine musician, nurturer and educator.
He is the son of Jupiter and the hyperborean Leto, he is the twin brother of Diana/Artemis.
Apollo's name is connected to the Greek word "apollymi", which means "to destroy" or "to bring down.", which is linked to the destruction and darkness that he brings to his enemies. Apollo's name has the Indo-European root  "ap-" which has connotations of light and illumination: in ancient Greek the verb "apaomai" means "to light up" or "to kindle."
Apollo's artistic prowess (epithet Musagetes "promoter of the muses") is symbolized by the lyre he is closely associated with. His guidance in colonizing new territories is often coupled with the epithet Didymaeus, highlighting his dualistic role in guiding and protecting settlers. He is a radiant deity  (epithet Phoebus "The Shining" who brings clarity and gives energy to both acts and thoughts, persons and things. His role as the god of reason and order guides men (epithet Nomios "sheperd") in their evaluation of all values  His link with the oracle of Delphi and her prophecies shows that he is the god of understanding and of the  knowledge of the future. His association with youth and beauty is closely  intertwined with his identity as a healer and nurturer, proof of this, temples dedicated to Apollo served as centers for healing, and his cult evidently developed in eugenic ways, thargelia, mostly positive idolatry, athletics, well-being and progress of the community through the removal of low life impurities etc, but most importantly he was the racial ideal to the greeks, their Kouros, a fair, racialy youtful, and well-rounded primary founding type (epithets Archegetes “founder” & Genetor “ancestor.”) full of vitality. He is the patron of artists, athletes and polymaths, of the talented and well-rounded individuals, the well-proportioned and beautiful, joyful and youtful, pure and fair, harmonious and virtuous.
The pendant  is made of a twelve spokes chariot wheel inside a twelve spikes sun. Apollo's has the symbol of the chariot of the sun, and the chariot is the early technological means of Indo-European dominance. 12 spokes & spikes because it is a sacred number in indo-european religions, for instance it's the number of Olympian gods. Eight of them are wavy rays to make it clear it is our sun because other stars are commonly symbolized with straight rays. And four of them are straight rays in the common "four directions", in order to symbolize a propencity to expand in every direction and dominate all aspects of life. The central piece is the bust of the iconic Leochares' Pythian Apollo, better known as Apollo Belvedere from 320 B.C.
