Diamond Earring 2

The model is a model of part of a diamond crystal: each carbon atom connects to 4 others, except at the edges of the model. There are 34 carbon atoms shown at the ends of the rods, which represent the bonds between them. The tetrahedral crystal pattern has both cubic and hexagonal symmetries. A unique 'diamond' earring, most elegant in silver or gold plated brass. Findings are not included, but are available inexpensively at any jewelry store or at www.RioGrande.com .
