This key is intended to change the focus of the Raspberry Pi camera.
Two important remarks in advance:
Out of the box, the Raspberry Pi camera is focused on infinity, which means objects nearby are unsharp. With this key, the focal distance can be modified.
Posts on the internet mention one should first remove the glue before changing the focus, but in my case I could not remove the glue. I tried printing this key on my FDM printer, but the resolution/accuracy was not good enough for the key to attach to the lens. The stainless steel key from Shapeways works really well, I am very impressed by the accuracy.
Two important remarks in advance:
- This key is only suitable for V1.3 of the camera!!!
- Please hold the camera at the black square block, do not apply torque to the PCB!!! Otherwise the camera may come loose from the PCB
