Product Description
What the title says. Pannier/Saddlebags lock covers for the ST1100 (also works on the locks FOR the pannier/saddlebags on the bike.
The original lock cover sliders are made from plastic (I guess it must be POM) and one of the covers on my bike broke and parts of it fell into the lock rendering it useless. Fortunately it was in the "open" position, so I could disassemble it.
If this happens to you, too, or you have too much time and dont know what to do with all your money, and want to exchange the lock cover sliders just for fun: This is just the part for you! And its not one part, it is eight of them!
Mostly because shapeways has a base price for 1 piece below a certain volume, so I joined 8 parts together. You will have no problem separating them if you ever build a model aircraft or painted Warhammer figures.
Please pay attention to the separating sketch, and separate exactly there, as the spring will need a guide!
Installing them will need you to remove the closures, then remove the locks itself from the closures, and then remove the face plate of the lock. The face plate is clamped on with 3 grain punches. Then you have access to the lock cover. fastening the face plate will need 3 grain punches, too - so only attempt this procedure if you know what you are doing.
