Product Description
German WW2 maschinensatz 8kw. This is the generator that was used to power the 60cm Flakscheinwerfer (Flak-SW-36) 60cm searchlight, available from AFV Club. The 60cm searchlight was used with batteries of 2cm FlaK guns.
On the model the control panel door is seperate and so is the cable drum. All other doors are fixed in the closed position.
The fan opening can be covered with scale etched mesh that you will have to supply yourself. Alternatively a fan to fit the opening is available seperately.
A carrying frame is also available to allow the generator to be carried on an SdAh 51 trailer.
Spare cable drums are also available.
The generator, searchlight and FlaK guns were all transported on the same type of trailer. The SdAh trailer is available from several kit manufacturers including AFV Club, Italeri, Tamiya and others.
