Product Description
The Arabidopsis cufflinks are inspired by the rosette stage of the plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Arabidopsis is the model organism of choice for many plant biologists. It is easy to grow, developing from seed to seed in approximately 6 weeks, and has a small yet completely sequenced genome. This humble weed, often found growing out of cracks in the pavement along a roadside, has greatly expanded our understanding of plant metabolism and physiology. It is a member of the Brassicaceae, the same plant family as cabbage, broccoli and wasabi.
The head of the cufflink is approximately 1.5 cm (0.6 inch) in diameter and the stem is curved so that the head lays flat on the shirt cuff.
