Product Description
Description
This Ring holds multiple aspects of Greek culture within its design. To begin, the symbol positioned on the top of this ring is both Greek letters Alpha and Omega combined together. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolically representing beginning and Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolically representing the end. In Christianity both these letters are put together to create a symbol for God, as God in Christianity is the beginning and end of all things. The shield design in this ring is a Boeotian Shield, (also known as a Dipylon Shield), which was used by Boeotian Soldiers in ancient Greece. Designed and added in along the outside of the ring is a form of Meander art which was a common form of pattern art shared by the ancient Greeks and the Romans. This ring also includes within its design a curved inside surface for a comfortable fit.
