Geometry:
The Fracture-10 Master Edition puzzle is a ten sided solid with five axes of rotation and two layers at each axis. Each vertex around the equator of the puzzle can be turned in 90 degree increments, although due to bandaging, rotations are often limited to 180 degrees. The smaller outer layers can only be accessed when 90 degree turns are available.
Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the instructions forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers.
Screws & Springs: The puzzle snaps together, so no screws or springs are needed.
Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Moderately easy assembly.
Solving: Very difficult to solve.
Playability:
Fracture-10 Master Edition has a robust mechanism that does not pop apart, and turns easily.
Have fun!
