Product Description
In a bid to take over Gotham's criminal underground, Bane opened the gates of Arkham Asylum, setting free every maximum security patient with a grudge against Batman. Though the Dark Knight was able to bring each criminal to justice, the hunts and subsequent fights took their toll, weakening the man beneath the cowl. With Batman at his most vulnerable, Bane finally struck head on, powering up with a the super-steroid, Venom, he was able to not only defeat the caped crusader, but utterly break him, confining Bruce Wayne to a wheel chair. No longer able to take up the mantle himself, Bruce charged his apprentice, Jean-Paul Valley with becoming the bat in his stead. After a fight with the Scarecrow, and near defeat at the hands of Bane, Valley's prior combat conditioning and programming kick in, influencing him to create a new suit of high-tech and deadly armor, and create a new, more violent symbol for the Batman.
