00 Gauge, 1:76, 4mm/Foot
This bogie It is based on GWR Dean 6'4" bogie without running boards which was fitted to many GWR Coaches and Brown vehicles built around the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries. Many of which lasted well into the firsthalf of the 20th Centuriy.
For those wishing to use them on the Hornby/Triang short clerestory coaches, I would recommend using my specifically designed GWR Dean 6'4" Bogie Hornby Fit
In designing this bogie I have included NEM pockets to allow a choice of couplings*. These will have to be obtained separately.
To complete the bogie you will need four 2mm "top hat" brass bearings per bogie and 12mm pinpoint wheels for example R8096 Hornby Disc Wheels.
Please note these bogies are sold singly so you will need to buy two per coach.
* This product was designed for use with the Hornby R8268 and R8276, large and medium width couplings but will also work with the R8219 Hornby narrow NEM coupling. However it will not work with the R8220 Hornby NEM pocket close coupling and it has not been tested using Kadee or any other type of coupling.
