Product Description
This part is a modified version of the Falcon Sails "baseplate" that slides onto the zipper rails of an Oru Bay ST kayak. This allows rapid installation of the sail each time the kayak is assembled.
The slide fit on the zipper rails is a tight fit, which worked well for my specific kayak. Note that the fit will loosen a bit due to wear over the first few assemblies.
To complete an install of a Falcon Sail on an Oru Bay ST kayak, vertical support is also needed. I recommend installation of an additional bulkhead directly below the mast, but contact Falcon Sails for suggestions.
Tested in white versatile plastic.
