The hinged part for building your own 3D printed hardcase!
Transport your tools or otherwise around in style, with this modular printed hardcase. This has been tested in FDM and is a comparable size to a pelican box (see photographs).
This design is customisable - you can choose whichever colours you like for each section. Be advised, this model is for the HINGE component so depending on the size of the box you want to create you can order as many of this component as you need. You need a minimum of FOUR to complete one hardcase. You also need at least one handle and eight corner sections. The flat panels are designed to accommodate 3mm flat panel so you can laser engrave anything you like on whatever material and insert them, and I've designed it to accommodate both square and chamfered corners on the faceplate.
Then, simply bolt together the sections with M6 bolts and you're away! Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you.
I'd also love to see this used as a film prop one day!
