Human serum albumin protein (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human blood and cerebrospinal fluid. It carries many small molecules and ions including drugs, fatty acids, and both essential and toxic metal ions. This structure shows HSA bound to the essential metal ions, Cu(II) and Zn(II).
