Product Description
This is the "engine brake" or independent brake valve that controls braking for the locomotive only. Another separate "automatic" brake valve is used to control brakes on the whole train. This is part of the No. 6 E-T (Engine-Tender) brake system introduced by Westinghouse about 1905.
Lug extending back from the bottom pipe bracket may be threaded for mounting the valve. Ports are plain unthreaded holes.
