Product Description
Bell Aerosystems Arapaho scout/attack fanjet fitted with Honeywell 770 mast-mounted ground-search radar for anti-tank missions. This variant has a TALAS Tactical Laser System mounted in a pod on one stub wing. The capacitor banks for the TALAS have been mounted in its internal bay space, replacing four LAGMs. The TALAS is capable of varying its dwell time to tailor effects to the target. This, coupled with low collateral damage made possible by its inherent precision, makes TALAS a popular weapons system for counterinsurgency applications.
