Product Description
A highly detailed, sculptural Jack O'Lantern Tea-Light candle/ led lantern for the Halloween season...
During the ancient Celtic holiday, Samhain (pronounced ‘sow wan’), which means ‘summer’s end’ (of which Halloween is based), glowing jack-o-lanterns carved from turnips or gourds, were set on porches and in windows to welcome the spirits of deceased loved ones and also to act as protective guardians to ward off malevolent spirits. Burning lumps of coal were used inside as a source of light, later to be replaced by candles.
