Saab 900 Convertible, 1987-94

Drop the top for some fun in the sun! Saab's 900 Turbo convertible was an instant classic, and has only gotten better with time. Its unique blend of performance, luxury, and unmistakable style are the stuff of legend. This deluxe model includes a removable top and a hood with articulated opening action for a view of the Saab's turbocharged heart! Seen here in its facelifted form, as equipped for the US market from 1987 to 1994.

This 1:64-scale kit comes with body, base, hood, hinge, convertible top, interior, dashboard, steering wheel, wheels, and tires. Axles (0.8 mm rods) and screws (#2-56) not included, but recommended. Glue recommended for smaller pieces.

Important assembly notes: A hobby knife or razor blade may be useful in detaching smaller parts from the sprues. The hood hinge is not a closed loop; one side is open for the hood to slide onto. Before attaching the body to the base, carefully press the closed side of the hood hinge into place on the base (behind the grille), then gently guide the hood into place, sliding from the open end.
