Product Description

This DNA Molecule Model uses a completely different way of encoding text as my other DNA Molecule Models. It has been developed by George Church, Professor at Harvard. He ordered this set of models. "We use these as gifts and teaching tools to illustrate how DNA can encode digital data." It encodes "THANKS". In the "THANKS" image 55 of these models have been used. One item "only" holds 5 models.

Here is how the decoding works:
The DNA sequence:
G  G  A  G  A  A  A  G  T  G  C  C  T  A  T
According to this code:
A=00=red,  C=01=yellow,  G=10=green, T=11=blue
Becomes:
10 10 00 10 00 00 00 10 11 10 01 01 11 00 11
Which translates into these binary ascii codes:
