Shockhood B Brake Blocks

Consists of 2 sprues of 12 brake blocks each for the Parkside Dundas 12ft wb chassis kit, which in its native state has pushrod 4 shoe brakes whereas the Shockhood B has 8 shoe clasp brakes. Suggest cutting out the pushrods, modifying the lever pivots as much as you feel you want to, and fit an extra brake shoe outside each wheel using the guide at the top to locate just inside the solebar of the kit, above the wheel. Haven't tried it yet, but it should be easier and look better than sticking on little bits of sprue and hoping they stay where you put them. Enough for 8 chassis and also useable on similar models needing clasp brakes. Let me try it first and amend the parts in the light of experience.

UPDATE These work OK on the Shockhood B / Coil L in frosted ultra detail. They could also be used on other wagons having clasp brakes on this chassis, such as the Dace conversion of the Shockhood B and the 21t VB mineral, or MDV, which you can make by bashing the 21t unfitted mineral MDO kit (from the N-gauge society) by fashioning top flaps above the side doors. I made several of these a long time ago, before I could 3d print extra detailing parts (and indeed before Stephen Harris made a 2mm FS brass etch MDV kit).
