Product Description
24 guidepins total. 4 each of the original double-pin single-position axle replacement guidepins for the 1960's Tyco "S" chassis. These are based on the original style pin with only the single-position axle slot for medium wheelbase cars. 4 bladed style for added durability - best used for front steering option. And 12 single-pin fixed steering versions which allow 3 different front axle positions.
Both the blade and double pin styles can easily be adapted to be steerable by removing the smallest 2 pegs on either side of the main peg that plugs into the chassis. For fixed position wheels, remove one of the double guide pins and keep the small side pins in place.
The single guide pin pieces have a second axle slot which can be used to set the front axle further forward or rearwards depending on the direction its installed in the chassis.
Nail clippers or a sharp hobby knife will easily trim the guide pins apart from the sprue material. Use a fine emery board (nail file) to sand to fit if tight. A small drill bit the same diameter of the front axle can be used (recommended by hand twisting) to open up the axle slot if needed.
I also have a smaller set of 12 guidepins in this shop that is just the the original mid-position single axle slot, 6 each of the twin-pin and bladed medium wheelbase pin that can be made steerable.
