Product Description
This is the 120 cell using a cell-first perspective projection. The 120 cell (a.k.a. dodecaplex or hyperdodecahedron) is the most complex of the six 4D regular polytopes, consisting of 120 dodecahedron cells (3D "sides"), 720 pentagonal faces, 1200 edges, and 600 vertices.
Some details for this particular model:
The projection point was selected such that it is a Schlegel diagram, meaning that the eye is just outside of one the dodecahedron cells. This makes the closest cell look like it surrounds the rest of the object. All 120 dodecahedron can be seen in this figure.
This model was optimized to preserve the visibility and structural integrity of internal details while keeping the model small. W-coordinates for the central dodecahedra (the ones with w-coordinates farthest from the eye) were pulled in to make them larger in the projection.
Outer edges are thicker to improve strength of the print, while inner edges are thinner to improve viewing of internal features.
