S scale Poage H Water Column

This is a Poage water column in use by the Chesapeake & Ohio RR and many others. It was designed by Earl Hackett and is offered here without markup as a service to S scale modelers of the C&O Raiload and others wishing to have a model of this widely used design of water column.    Recommended material is Frosted Ultra Detail in which the model has been successfully printed. The "Y" and "U" shaped pieces are bending jigs for the wire (not supplied) pieces that guide the snout and the valve actuator bar (not supplied) that must be fashioned as shown in the diagrams from #22 or larger wire.   If you are demanding with respect to surface finish please know that even with FUD printing there will be a certain amount of surface "stepping or triangulation" which can be reduced some with treatment and painting, but this may be objectionable in a close foreground model.  We attached this to a servo motor and presto an operting water plug.
