Product Description
This speaker enclosure uses a decreasing radius spiral in order to filter out high frequency noises. It does this through diffraction, essentially high frequency noises have a difficult time bending around tight corners so they get cut off. The remaining low frequency bass notes are then amplified by using a compact spiral shaped horn.
All of this is packaged into a nice spherical shape which is an optimum enclosure shape because it minimizes sound pressure level fluctuations throughout the frequency range.
Another goal of this design was to create a ported enclosure with minimal/no walls or hard edges for sound to reflect off of and create resonance effects.
This part was designed to fit a Dayton DSA90-8 driver and round speaker terminal posts.
